Dear  Trevor Robert Anthony  I finally have had a few minutes to respond to your excellent question about why we use Hadith? I will first post your question and reply in short. I want to write it here so that others may benefit from it. Or correct me if I am wrong. "Assalumualaikum. I have a question that you may see often. I have tried to seek scholarly opinions, and still get mixed answers. Please forgive me for asking, but I really want to find the correct answer. If the Quran tells us it is perfect alone. Needs no other book. Is compete. 6:38 says nothing is left out. 6:114 says Quran is fully detail. 7:12, 16:89 and 12:111 say that Quran is a full explanation of all things. 69:44 says "had he (Muhammad pbuh) taught anything else..." Saying that he taught Quran alone. And 45:6 tells us not to use Hadith... Then why do we use Hadith?" Science is good

Science is good, but only for this dunya and it sometimes fails to see you through because there is one extra variable, perhaps two, maybe three or more you have not taken into account. Sometimes it fails you because your moment came before you tabulate the result of your most recent lab experiment. Of course, it is good for the Hereafter as well, but that one needs someone whose heart radiates with true light. Brain cells alone are not enough. Science is not the anti-thesi s of religion. It is simply that tool which some atheists force to assume the role of God, since they suffer from chronic cerebral anemia and cannot see beyond matter. Science is the perfect religion for those who have no religion, and it is a useful tool for those who have one and would like to understand how their Lord ordered the physical universe around them, with a pragmatic understanding to improve their lives. "تحليل التراث الإسلامي"

مقتبسات من كتاب هرالد موتسكي "تحليل التراث الإسلامي". ترجمة: د. أحمد عبد الكافي ميلود   تعتبر رواية العالم المكي ابن جريج (ت ١٥٠\٧٦٧) من المصادر المبكرة و المهمة لفقه الزهري، وهي كمثيلتها في رواية معمر بن راشد عن الزهري موجودة في مصنف عبد الرزاق الصنعاني، وتمكن إعادة تجميعها على أساس سلسلة أسانيدها. وبما أنني سبق وأن ناقشت رواية إبن جريج فإني سأحصر كلامي هنا على النقاط الجوهرية لمقارنتها بالمصادر المبكرة الأخرى لنصوص الزهري. ومقارنة مع نصوص معمر فإن رواية ابن جريج في مصنف عبد الرزاق شبيهة من حيث الحجم، فهي تحتوي على أكثر من ٥٠٠٠ نص مستقل. وعلى النقيض من نصوص معمر التي رأينا سابقا كيف أنها تغلب فيها الرواية عن مصدرين من بينهما الزهري، فنصوص بن جريج يغلب عليها مصدر أساسي واحد وهو العالم المكي عطاء بن أبي رباح، إذ أن حوالي ٤٠٪ من نصوص إبن جريج تنسب إليه. أما البقية فهي تعزى إلى عدد كبير من الرواة (أكثر من مائة). ومن بين هؤلاء ذكر خمسة رواة بشكل أكثر إضطرادا. وهؤلاء الخمسة هم: العالم المكي عمرو بن دينار (٧٪) العالم المدني إين شهاب (٦٪) و اليمني إبن طاووس (٥٪) والمكي...
